Extraneous Channel Listings In the Guide

I am in Howard county, Maryland. We had a new channel line-up but the guide still lists the old channels in the guide. I know Verizon is planning

to add additional channels but in the meantime can't these old channels that direct you to the new channel number be removed. It has been some time since the new channel line-up. Also when will the "empty" channels be populated in Howard county?

The old channels remain as X------ Channels for what I have been told is a couple of weeks. Mine was realigned on 9/22 in Washington Metro and they are still in the guide. So I set up one of the favorites with all channels and then removed those. I am still waiting on the channels in the guide dated Sept that are not here yet. But it only gets better.
