I had Verizon Fios installed on Monday (today is Saturday). On Tuesday, I downloaded the Verizon McAfee Security Suite. I work at home and have not been able to work since. I have had one problem afrer another with my computer. When I reboot, it boots to a black screen labeled Hardware Profile/Config Recovery Menu and I have to reboot several times before it will boot properly. My cursor has also been going wild, typing in repeated spaces so that I cannot do anything on my screening and I have to shut down. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I think it is a probably with McAfee but I can't be sure. I uninstalled McAfee and the whole security suite about two hours ago and have had no problems since, after 4-1/2 days of constant, intermittent, unexplainable problems. I have lost an entire week of work and contacted Verizon multiple times because my user name and password would not work, but was unable to get anyone to help or return my calls until today. My user name and password are working now but the experience has been horrible overall. I am curious to know if anyone else has had problems like these after having Fios/McAfee installed. Thanks.
