Best Wiring Option for 2nd (Second) Router

We are currently working on our basement and the walls are open, so we have a lot of wiring choices. We need a second router in the basement to handle gaming, online movie watching, etc.. Currently, our hard wired fios internet service comes in at the top floor and at the other end of the house.

Question: Can we have two fios internet wires running directly from the fios box and have two routers directly connected? If yes, is this best?

Alternatively, I assume we can run an ethernet line from the existing computer room to the basement and connect a second router that way. Anything we should know about wiring this before we close in the walls?

No, you cant connect two routers directly to the Fios box. In order to connect a second router, you have to connect the second router to the first router.

Basic wiring would be, Fios box to 1st routers WAN port. 1st routers LAN port to 2nd routers WAN port.

Of course there would be a little configuration needed on the second router depending on the type and manufacturer but that would be the wiring portion.
