Can anyone from Verizon provide a list of the known problems in the current IMG software?
The ones I am aware of are:
1). Incorrect Channel logo temporarily displaying when changing channels
2). Occasional refusal of box to recognize remote commands
3). Random Pops and drops on audio
4). When streaming SD TV from the DVD to a 2500 box, random uncommanded fast forward, either for no reason at all, or as a result of requesting 'forward 30 seconds'.
5). Occasional failure to acknowledge delete of recording from the Internet causing application to hang
6). Occasional failure to actually delete a program is reported as deleted from the Internet.
7). Variety of HDMI issues, however I am unsure if these are really firmware or issues from incorrect/inadequate compliance to the published standard. I haven't experienced them, as I use component cables, and there have been no problems with that.
Anyway, someday I'd like to be able to play back just a single program from my Media DVR on the 2500 box without having it go into fast forward several times, or have remote commands ignored.
Anyway, unless there is a list of the problems visible to the users, we don't know which ones Verizon knows about and has on the list to fix.
Having owned a couple of other DVR's (neither of which supports HD), I am not impressed with the Verizon product.
