I'm currently get the basic Verizon DSL Internet Service, Verizon Landline Service and Dish Network TV Service. I am ready to make the switch to FIOS.
Ideally, what I'd like to do is drop my land line and Dish Network and switch to FIOS TV and Internet (Tier 3 package)
In going through the computer system, it's pretty easy to price out a "Triple Play" package and get my price. With the offers and Verizon upgrade discount, 2 year contract, etc, the pricing is cheaper over the long run when compared to what I currently pay for all three services.
What doesn't make sense is that it seems impossible to get a "Double Play" package price for just TV and Internet. The computer system only seems to let me "Change Plans" which then takes me out of the bundling options and the price skyrockets. Weird.
I was able to price the Tier 3 Double Play package using a different address in my neighborhood and the price was negligible compared to the Triple Play package, but that also didn't include the $20.00 off per month deal that applies to current Verizon Customers.
I tried online customer service and they were zero help.
My thinking is that I should just drop my land line now, keep the internet and retry the package deals from that angle.
Anyone else have this issue or know a work around?
Thanks!
