Multiple Multi Room HD DVR

I currently have 2 multi room DVR STBs but can only access recordings on one DVR from two other standard STBs. Is there a setup that is required to be able to access the recordings on the second multi room DVR STB?

Only one DVR can be designated the multiroom DVR for now.

Is there a multiroom HD DVR? I thought the multiroom DVR was just digital.

All their DVR's are HD, they used to have an SD one but no longer offer it.
