How can visiting friends link their computers to my wireless network when it is password-protected and I don't know what the password is?!
At the bottom of your router, there should be a sticker that shows your network name (SSID) as well as the password to your network (WEP Key). Give them those two pieces of information and they can connect to the network. If the sticker isn't there, tell us which router you're currently using and we can help you get the key or set a new one.

If you don't know how to logon to the router in admin mode push the reset to default button on the back of the router and hold for 10 seconds.

Select the wireless tab at the top

enter an ssid of your choice
select encyption method - I'd suggest wpa/2See Step 6 write down your wireless settings
Select advanced security settings
select wpa/2
select your security, authentication type and encryptyion algorithm
I'd suggest wpa and wpa2, pre-shared key and aes
fill in the preshared key with whatever you want
Rember Step 6 and write down the key before you forget it

Give the ssid and pre-shared key to the people you want to allow access to.

Unless you have changed the Wireless Security on the FiOS router, you'll be using WEP to connect the LG Player.
How can I allow a visitor access to my wireless when I do not remember the password?
Read items 2 and 3 in this thread.
The listed website for the router above has a typo. It should be http://192.168.1.1
Wep is the default for all but the latest Verizon modems'
However you should give real thought to switching to WPA2. WEP security is essentially a broken security encryption. The TKIP flavors are also somewhat broken so if given the choice you want WPA2-PSK(AES)
See the below verizon FAQ for the why and how to.

how can I get my password please for wi fi
need security key
@brinkdm wrote: need security key
Look on the bottomside of your router for a sticker. Your security key is the WEP Key located on that sticker.
trying to get wi-fi for i-phone asks for password
don't remember it
If you can log in to the router from another computer, it usually allows you to "show key" (from within the router only)
How can I find the password for my router wireless network?
you can also retreive your wifi password if you have your verizon username and password by going to www.verizon.com/repair
how do I find out what my wi fi password is?
Your router's password is either
THis is seperate from your security key or passphrase.
For those that want the password and can't find it, the TV menu gives it out now.
Thought that was neat.
press menu>customer support>choose my wireless network
When you choose that, it accesses your router, and then displays your ESSID And your Password/encryption type on your TV Screen so you can connect. It also gives you good general instructions on how to use that info.
