Can I get a Motorola 7100 instead of a 6200?

I set up a new TV in our house and I have the box hidden away in a cabinet. I have the 6200 and I got this little infared eye that plugs it to the back of the 6200 and lets me change channels.

Now, the eye does not work with the 6200 but I can confirm that it does work fine with the 7100. I called VZ and asked if they could send me a 7100 instead and the salesman said he had no options to chose which box.

So basically, is there any way I can get a 7100 swapped out for my 6200?

the guy you talked to, Verizon has no way of specifying a model number....

Your best bets are to :

somehow, get ahold of a field tech, and ask if they can/will swap out your 6200 with a 7100 from their truck...
