ipad2 internet connection

Ipad2 shows I am connected to internet but i keep getting message when trying to do a search. cannot open page. safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet

Is the iPad getting a valid IP address? When you go to the Settings Widget, choose the Wi-Fi settings and then click on the Blue Arrow next to your network name, what IP address does the iPad show? If it is a 169.254.***.*** address, the iPad was not able to connect to the router fully. We can help you solve that issue if it is the case.
