Audio issues when changing channels

Whenever I change channels the sound skips two beats. The new channel comes on, sound is good for about 5 seconds and then a skip - a split second of silence - and then good sound for a few seconds and then another skip. After that, the sound is fine. Is this normal when you change channels? I have a multi-room DVR - HD box. Thanks.

Lemme guess - you have a QIP7216 settop box.. and settop code 1.6.0... right?? Settop code 1.6.2 fixes this issue.

you are right on both counts. Man, I can't wait for this fix - supposedly it will be on 4-7-09. For some reason I have my doubts that Verizon has their stuff together enough to have a fix that will correct this problem plus the 'currently not available' issue all at once. I do hope it works. Thanks.

Actually the 1.6.2 update DOES fix both issues! Believe it or not!
