Cannot open links

Using Explorer 9 and formerly 8 I cannot open a link as part of an email or when visiting other website. Nothing happens when I left click or right click and click open. I can however right click on link address and save the link to favorites and then go to favorites and open the link which must be refreshed with each new log on to website. Needless to say my favorites list is now a mess. I have tried adjusting Explorer security settings and have changed security software companies to no avail. Help!

Has this issue been occuring since Verizon updated their Webmail, or has it been going on for longer than that? Have you also verfied that your security software isn't blocking scripts or advertisements?

This has happened since purchasing computer 6 months ago with Windows 7 before Verizon update. Issue occurs even with all security software deactivated.

OK. Sorry about the long delay, but have you tried running the Browser in Safe Mode to see if the same problem occurs? To double check this, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Choose Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)
