Getting Verizon to enable ethernet port on outside box

Hello,

I currently have the coax port connected to a Westell router for internet and TV. How can I get verizon to enable the ethernet port so I can run a CAT 5 cable into my house and use my own router off of it?

Tech support is able to do the switch assuming you already ran the wire...usually you would need a service order ($$) if you want us to run and verify all the cabling. But if you want to do it yourself. Go ahead and message me some of your account information and I'll contact you.

I can give you my contact number that they asked for on the phone and my address. I have another question as well.

If they enable the ethernet port will they disable the coax connection? I still need to have VOD and STB to work for my TV service.
