Hello,
I have searched the admin pages and can't find a way to assign a static address to the WAN/Ethernet port. How do I do this?
Thanks,

http://192.168.1.1
log in
my network at the top
then choose
network connections on the left hand menu
then choose broadband connection ethernet or coax (depends on your set up, most people these days are coax I think)
then click configure connection on the left hand menu.
Now, OP:
#1 There are two types of IP Address(es)
a) Public IP
b) Private/NAT/Internal IP.
#2 Private/NAT/Internal IP Address(es) are these three ranges:
a) 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255
b) 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255
c) 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255
#3 You can not enter in a Public Static IP, unless you first contact Verizon Business for the settings to use.
#4 You must enter in the Public IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway settings that they tell you to use.
#5 If you are setting up a Private/NAT/Internal IP Address for the WAN IP:
a) You must know the DHCP Range of the router that is upstream.
b) As need be, you may need to adjust what the DHCP range of the router that is upstream.
c) You setup a Static IP outside of that DHCP Range.
