router shows a second computer connected

Hi, when looking at the main screen on my router it shows my PC connected wirelessly and then shows a second pc connected by ethernet with the ip 192.168.1.2. It says its staus is inactive and that remote access is enabled. Does someone know the explanation for this? Thank you. P.S. I only have one computer. The other issue is that with my PC it is also showing remote access as enabled and I'm not sure why.

Also I know that ip is sometimes used for printers but my printer has a wired connection and does not go through the router.

You should reset you router back to factory settings by doing this all the settings you had made in your router will get deleted and you will be able to see just the computer are you curently using, if the other computer appears again you should make sure that your wep key is enabled if it is you should try to change your security mode to wap2 that will make it hard to anyone whose steling your signal to break down your security code.

Also I should mention that I live in an apartment building where the FIOS Internet comes over the telephone line so I have a zyxel modem connected to the actiontec router.

Did you at one point in time ever connect your PC to the router using an Ethernet cable, or has anyone ever connected directly into your router using Ethernet?

When I first set up the router I had the computer connected to it with the ethernet cord until I got all the settings the way I wanted them, then I disconnected the cord and signed onto the wireless network I had setup. Are you saying the router still remembers this connection?

Thanks to everyone for their responses. I am already using a wpa key on the router and have set up mac address filtering have changed the name of the SSID and have set the router not to broadcast the name. I also changed the default log in name and password on the router. I still get entries in the firewall security log, however, that someone is attempting to log in with the default user name of admin, sometimes several times in one day. My other question is how can someone be getting to the router log in page without being on my connection? Any further help would be appreciated. In the meantime I am going to reset the router and see if that other computer icon disappears.
