When I had the boxes installed, this was not an issue. I had to get the DVR replaced and now the menus are not filling in the screen. I assume it's a setting but I can't seem to find the option to change
You must have had a newer box before. The newer boxes have the guide stretched, which most find annoying. Verizon is working on a true 16:9 guide. The older boxes are not streteched. Consider yourself lucky for now.
Older box? I had it replaced because the install box had a hard drive with a very loud clicking sound. What would the newer box have that older one doesn't
As for the stretched guide - why would it annoy? I didn't see anything wrong with the guide
Most people find the stretched guide to be annoying. It's a 4:3 image stretched so that it looks like 16:9; it's like some funhouse mirror. Verizon will come out with a true 16:9 guide soon.
