download speed is limited to 2 mb/s

I have fios internet 15/5.

I have already optimized my internet speed with vz in home agent. Whenever I download a file, the download speed seems to be locked out at 2 mb/s even though I'm using a download manager to maximize my connection.

any help ?

Are you by any chance mixing up Megabits from Megabytes? There are 8 bits to the byte, so keep in mind that 1KB/s is equal to 8Kbps. 1MB/s is equal to roughly 8.2Mbps. 2MB/s would mean you're pulling a download speed of 16.4Mbps, which is over the 15Mbps promised by Verizon. Post up a speed test for us to see, or a screenshot of a download running if you're unsure.
