We cannot turn the closed captioning off on our tv. can someone help please?
The closed captions can be generated by either your TV or any other device connected to it, including the Verizon SetTopBox or DVR. Do you have a Verizon STB or DVR? If so, try pressing the asterisk key (*) on the Verizon remote to change the CC type. It's the * key below the "7" key, not the "On Demand" star key. Repeatedly press the * key until the screen shows "Closed Captions: Off".
If the closed captions are being generated by the TV, you will have to read the TV manual to learn the method of reseting it. It's usually either a special key on the remote, or a setting in the setup menu.
