FIOS Web Connection So Slow

Facebook, Verizon email page, other sites, constantly very slow on my FIOS connection.

Speed test show 30 Mbps download and 13 Mbps upload.

On an Apple and Windows box.

Anyone else having these problems? Based on other posts, I am sure Verizon is throttling back Facebook, but why is its own homepage so problematic?

My last ISP was RCN, and even though only 10-15 Mbps download, the pages came up so much faster.

Your speed package has very little to do with webpages loading as they use very little resources, more often it is where those pages are hosted and the connection route / hops between you and them that gives you the slowdowns. Do a google search on trace routes /paths and it will give you a ton of info on how to do your own and see where the issues lie.
