Upgrading my daughters phone for chirstmas and I was comparing android phones. I am wondering what it means when it says a phone has mobile broadband. Does that mean if I get her a phone without it she wont have internet on her phone?
mobile broadband means it has the internet.
all android phones require a data plan
$15 for 150md or $30 for unlimited
i suggest the unlimited, these phone use data. you can do the 150, but you have to be VERY proactive about data use, remember to turn off sync, 3g, ect
vzw site does not like firefox 4.0 beta 7
Data is required on every Smartphone so she will have access to interent.
Mobile Broadband on a Smartphone is an option to allow a laptop be hooked up to the phone for a connection. It costs an Add'l $20/month for 2GB.
Otherwise data is what was stated in the above post, $15/month for 150MB. Which for a Smartphone unless the user is REALLY diligent on watching what they are doing or unless the user is ALWAYS around an open WiFi connection will not be enough. So there is also a $30/month for unlimited data.
