Remote Control using AUX button

I was able to manually program the Phillips remote to turn off my audio receiver. I followed the steps of entering 9 2 2, play, then fast forward until the receiver turned off. I entered OK, the AUX button flashed twice. Then, when I hit Power to turn it back on, it wouldn't come on. I have to use the receiver's remote to turn it on. I tried several times. Each time the receiver would go off after I hit the fast forward button the twelfth time, but wouldn't come back on. Can anyone help?

Hi CeliaZora, sorry you're having trouble programming your remote to your audio receiver. Some codes don't perform completely for the devices, this means there may be a different one that will allow it to work correctly. Try the search process again and this time when it goes off continue on until the device turns back on. This may be a better code for your device. Hope this helps.

you should try to program it directly by using the codes.

You'll hit aux and ok at the same time, the top row of buttons will blink when you let them go, and then you enter any of the codes below

0216, 0558, 1216, 1296, 1541, 3636

after entering a code, hit power to test it by turning it on and off. if one code doesn't work or do both, move onto the next code.

you do not have to hit ok after entering the code when manually inputting the number.

if those codes don't work then you'll have to resort to the manual search again, but if the two don't work, then you might have to look into either using two remotes - or buying a different universal remote control.
