Does anyone know if the Amazon gift card as part of a new service special ever gets sent out?
Here is my timeline:
12/7/2018: Order confirmation for service installation on 12/9/2019 with language for $50 Amazon card as an included special offer within 30 days of installation
1/30/2019: Email confirmation of order being on the way via US mail within next 30 days
3/4/2019: Checked status using the link from the 1/30 email, which somehow says eGift card while the message says US mail. Neither have actually come in. Reward status page says "Processing begins in 0 days", and another message saying "You can expect to receive your $50.00 eGift card within approximately 30 days".
My follow up today:
I tried contacting customer service via chat, who then directed me to call 866-948-2725, who in turn gave me a reference number and redirected me to "Card Services", where the first person could not even give me a straight answer on what the hold up is or whether I should expect a physical or an electronic gift card. The next person I was transferred to simply hung up on me mid conversation.
I could have done without a gift card in the first place, but if it is part of a special, the least one can expect is for it to go smoothly, and within the stated timeline. If this is what the experience is for everyone signing up for service, I can't imagine them having a very good customer service experience.
Here's hoping things get better, and as the last service rep mentioned, I need to wait another 7-10 business days. For a eGift card maybe. For something that I've already waited almost 3 months for.
