Digital cable box

I have a tv in a spare bedroom. Does anyone know if Verizon rents the Digital cable boxes that allow one to have some tv stations. ? I have several other Tv with standard and Hd boxes. Are the less costly to rent for the puirp[ose of an extra little watched TV?

There are two STB options, Standard Def and High Def.

There is also the option for a digital adapter option which you lose guide, on-demand but you get the channels without the bells and whistles. This option is $3.99/mo.

Just to clarify - the digital adapter (model DCT-700) will give you all the SD only channels you are subscribed to. The outputs of the box are RF (old NTSC with mono audio) or composite with analog stereo audio (yellow/red/white RCA jacks).

I don;'t believe the SD stb (QIP-2500) is available except as a replacement for an existing failed unit, so the only choice is the DCT-700 digital adapter, which is SD only, with no VOD or Channel Guide capability. It is the least expensive as well.
