Two Fios DVR's in the same room

Hi I would like to know if anyone knows if there is a way to have two fios DVR Set -top boxes in the same room and control them with two different remotes. I guess what I'm asking is there a way to set the remotes to two different discreet codes for each DVR so I can control one DVR without effecting the other DVR.

I have heard no. You might possible use shielding on both DVRs, and it they are spaced fare enough apart then perhaps you can point at one or the other. All the remotes use the same configuration.

I think it's pathetic that Verizon does not have a way to change the remote address allowing 2 boxes to be used in the same room. Some people have a need. I , many times, watch and record 2 programs ea., especially sporting events. My television allows dual inputs, but I need to address each box separately, and this is a very BASIC need. There should be more than one Rf Channel for the remotes AND like Dish, should have the option for UHF which would allow more flexibility in Remote Use.

Perhaps you should look into a Tivo. Get an entry level Tivo to handle two of your recording needs and use a Vz DVR for the other two ... or if you want to splurge, get the new Tivo which has 4 tuners.

I'd like to see Vz add a 4-tuner DVR as that would solve a lot of these kinds of issues.
