I previously had fios and now I'm coming back. I ordered a self-install kit, but I'm wondering if a technician still has to come to my house to hook up the cables on the outside of the house. The fios box is inside my garage.
It shouldn't be necessary. The fiber optic cable should still be connected to the ONT (the box in the garage).
The ONT can be reactivated remotely as long as the fiber is connected and the ONT has power.
