I decided to save some money on a network extender by buying a manufacturer refurbished one on eBay. It came with a note saying that the MAC address may still be attached to the previous owner's account, and gave the Verizon tech support number to switch it over. I read that other people had done this in the past with no problem.
Well, I had a problem. The tech talked to a bunch of people, but apparently they will not put the network extender on my account until the previous owner takes it off their account. Of course, I don't know who the previous owner is. I contacted the seller and explainged the situation, but I'm not hopeful that anyone will be able to finout out who the previous owner is, let alone convince them to call tech support at Verizon to take if off their account.
Has anyone else experienced this?
