Fios HD DVR automatically skips to end

I am having an issue where my HD multi-room DVR will either go to the end of the recording or start over when I try to fast-forward or skip ahead. I have the QIP 7216 HD DVR. I notice the issue when watching House Hunters on HGTV, which I record on standard definition. Hs anyone else experienced this issue, or have a solution? This is a replacement dvr after my last one went bad ( I have have had this dvr for about two months). I hope this doesn't mean my dvr is going bad! I'd appreciate any help you can give me!

I have the same problem. If I am fast forwarding near the end ( about two minutes or so left) and want to see that last segment, the drv goes immediately to the end of the recording, skipping the last minute +. There is no way to reverse, so one would have to restart from the beginning and FF through the entire recording, hoping to stop in time. This seems to have started after one of the 'upgrades'. Is there a way around this? It is really annoying.
