FIOS TV APP - error messages

i have tried on the iPad to download the fios tv app. I am getting consistent error messages "not able to download. This app is not available in the US. store" I contacted APPLE directly and the also received the same error message. They indicated this is an issue for Verizon to rectify.

I contacted Verizon and got the typical run around from the agents. Can anyone else tell me if they have reported this issue as well The agent I spoke with said he hadn't heard of this before, but I could distinctly hear another agent talking to someone about the identical issue!

I just purchased an iPad2 and I am receiving the same error message. I contacted Verizon the first time, and they said to contact Apple. I contacted Apple, and they said that I need to contact Verizon. I contacted Verizon the second time and they referred me to this forum.

I found a cached page on the iTunes site from 1/17/13 which showed that the app was available at that time. It is no longer there. Either Apple dropped the app or Verizon pulled the app. Either way, Verizon should not be advertising the service on the main page of their website if it is no longer available.

Hello,

You're right... the 'FiOS Mobile' app for the iPad does not seem to be listed today in the 'App Store'.

I have had the app for awhile and haven't noticed its disappearance, although I did see it in the 'App Store' for sure on Thursday afternoon when I was showing a few folks how to get the app.

I'm not sure where this should go but when I click on the MyFios app link all I get in the App Store is not available in the US. Why?

Hi All-

Thank you for bringing this to our attention- I'm so sorry about the inconvenience! Updates were made to the FiOS apps over the weekend which caused them to be temporarily unavailable. The good news is the Verizon FiOS apps will be available in the App store later today.

Thanks Heather. Verizon phone agents should be apprised of upgrades so they can properly service customer calls and not send customers on the proverbial wild goose chase.
