New upgrade breaks by Tivo...again

I have Tivo Lifetime Service. I know, don't hate me, but I bought in early.

I love my Tivo

I have no interest in any other DVR.

But

The latest Fios upgrade keeps switching off my feed. The STB goes into some sort of standby mode and I'm missing programs. Over and over again. And the Fios interface is so unhelpful, I'm at the same time (a) convinced never to use Fios DVR, (b) totatlly confused about how to turn off this setting and (c) ready to turn to whomever else can respect my personal DVR choices.

Please help.

What FIOS upgrade are you referring to? 1.9 on FIos boxes doesn't effect your TIVO's. Perhaps in the future if the use MPEG-4 (does your TIVO support mpeg-4) or if they do some form of IPTV.

Note that with TIVO's you do have to have it remap if channels are added or move around.
