Self installation kit frustration

Hello,

I have signed up to restart FiOS service in my home. I already have the battery backup and FIOS equipment installed in my home. Since all the equipment is already in my home I would like to just get a self install kit and hook the box and router up myself rather than taking off work to wait for a technician. I am told on the phone that the self installation kit should be available to me but the system won't let them change it as I already have an installation date scheduled. It took nearly an hour on the phone to get to that point. Can anyone help me in getting the self installation kit? Any help is appreciated.

If the order is already in the system, there is no way to change the order type. If you want the self installation, your current order will need to be cancelled and a new one setup. Have you been back in contact with them to to accomplish this? Please let us know if you need help.
