self installation service date

I am going back to fios after about 6 months away and I am going to do a self installation. My service ready date it 9/30/13but my equipment arrives on thr 28th. Do I have to wait until the 30th to install?

No, you don't have to wait to install the equipment. You can connect the router and STBs ahead of time, but they won't work until VZ turns up your ONT.
