My fios settop box intermitently powers itself off and after a while it reboots itself. Sometimes it will go several days without resetting and sometimes it will power itself off several times a day. I have 2 settops and only one has this problem. Also, I tried to call in for a service call and couldn't get past your online help to talk to someone. The online solution was to reboot my settop several times. This is not a solution. It appears to me like there might be a short in the motherboard.
For the future I would like to know how to get to a real service person without having to monkey around with software that won't fix the problem.
