QIP 6416 with IMG 1.9 version but displays guide only in SD

I recently returned a HD set top box to get a HD DVR set top box so that I can have pause/rewind/ capability in multiple rooms; However this HD DVR ( QIP 6416) doesn't display interactive media guide in HD - it is only showing in SD.

I suspected i had a bad box and returned and got another one - same story

Switched HD TVs and even from HDMI to Y-Pb-Pr connection and still same story

is this a feature of QIP6416? and is the IMG not going to be in HD on this version of hardware?

or did i get two bad boxes ?

6400 and 6200 boxes cannot do 16:9 guide, only 4:3. You need a DVR with a model starting with 7 (if its Motorola), or a CISCO DVR.

Thanks - i guess then i may have to return this too and get the newer version.

you might be able to do an auto upgrade

Click menu>customer support>in home agent>set top box exchange

See if it's there.

If you have a 6xxx stb and MPEG 4 programming in your line up, then you can do it online.
