Why isn't fios available at my address when it is for everyone of my neighbors?

I have tried checking availability on my address for fios, but the Verizon site is telling me that no internet service is available; not even DSL. When I check the address on both sides of my house fios is available for them, and I also checked several other houses on both sides of the street and it is available for them also.

I tried calling 1800-Verizon but they said they would send it to engineering and to check back with them in 2 weeks. I need to make a decision soon about my Internet service and can't wait that long for an answer.

What should my next steps be to get this process expedited?

Verizon has built their network based on city hall records.(So they know how many fibers to run down a street). I gaurantee that Verizon does not have your address built into their system. Call back and tell them you need a local outside manager to contact. That manager can send that information send over to an engineer and have your address built into the system within hours. You'll be able to call back and a rep will them be able to build an order for your address. If someone from the buisness office cannot put in a request for a local manager to call you back then you should search for an email to the Verizon's president office. I know its pretty ridiculas that your trying to give them your money and they refuse to take it. Once they build your address, you should check the offers to order online, sometimes they are 10 bucks cheaper. Good Luck.

Thank you for the reply. I just tried calling and asked to be put in touch with a local outside manager and the verizon rep was absolutely no help. He said he had no way of contacting a local outside manager and he had no idea who I should call to put me in touch with one. I guess I will begin my search for an email that I can send a request to.

Can any of the Verizon employees that monitor this board help provide me with the info I need to contact someone that can help?

Do you know if the Local Central Offices are normally staffed? I know where my local CO is, do you think I would make any progress by visiting and knocking on the door?

I'm going to keep trying for 2 more days and then I am going to be forced to settle for comcast. I need to have this installed by the first week in January and can't keep spending hours a day trying to contact a company that seems to not want to help in any way.

We are in an office building that just got Fiber installed at the building. The main purpose was so that all of us tenants can order FIOS. It's been several weeks and still not in their system. It is a TLS network and all the verizon field guys tell us we should be able to order fios. Can anyone advise how to pursue this?
