If I go to any local electronics store and buy a simple, inexpensive, big-button, 2-device remote for my somewhat visually impaired husband, will it work with our FIOS Media Manager and digital TV?
Every universal remote is different as far as what devices it will support. There's no way to tell in advance if it will be compatible. Even if it does work, its also impossible to determine if every feature will work or not. I apologize there isn't a clear cut and dry answer for your dilemma.
