I read previous posts about their frustrating experience to redeem their samsung promotion. I now have similar experiece with this "free chromecast" promotion. I believe verizon fios is using these illegal tricks to get people to renew their contracts.
Below is what happens:
I clicked the "redeem" link sent by email and logged into my account. Then I added chromecast into my cart and check out. But it will still charge me $69.99 dollars. I spent one hour with a representative on the phone and she kept telling me there should be a promotion code or option for "free chromecast", which can not be found anywhere, neither in email nor on their website. It is very frustrating.
