Verizon gift card is impossible to redeem

I received notice that my $100 gift card that was offered as a promotion to sign up for FIOS was ready to redeem.

I click on the link, log into my account, see the notice about redeeming the card and that it expires soon.

I click on that link and wait…. no website loads. I’ve done this five times at different times during the day and still nothing.

It should not be this hard to get a gift card.
