DVR Buffer Suggestion/Question

Hello - I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just a needed feature, but lets say I'm watching 507 (ABC HD in my area) at 730pm, and I have a recording scheduled for 8pm on the same channel. At 735, I pause the show I am currently watching and leave it paused for 15 minutes. When I resume watching the show at 750, at 8pm, the DVR 'jumps' to the program it is recording on the same channel, and I do not get to finish watching the show I had paused. Is there some setting I need to set? This doesn't seem like it is logical, especially since there is nothing else being recorded at 8pm.

If the tuner you are watching is tuned to the channel that you have scheduled to record it will use that tuner (regardless of the pause and buffer playback).

Next time try hitting the record button instead of just pausing, start the recording playback when you return from your break and you will be able to continue to playback the recording when the tuner jumps to live. Best work arouind I can think of.
