Media Manager Audio/Video Playback issue

I've downloaded the media manager and the audio (and video) on the tv keeps sputtering (like a skipping, halting kind of thing) whenever I try to stream youtube videos. (I haven't tried streaming anything else yet). I have Fios triple play, a 9100em router, and windows 7 on my desktop. I have a wireless-N USB 2.0 adapter. I also have adobe flash player 11, if that helps. Please help!!

I'm using a "default" Verizon-supported configuration that includes an Actiontec router and a wired PC connection. I just played a YouTube video and it worked great. Is your PC connecting to your home network via WiFi? That could be the problem.

That is a fairly common problem with streaming youtube. Depending on the quality you are trying to stream, the time of day, and the popularity of the video, the streaming quality varies greatly. Has nothing to do with media manager.

There have been a lot of posts on this subject, and some proposed fixes. I havn't seen one that worked.

I doubt it's the youtube videos since I'm streaming various ones that are not at all popular and I've tried streaming at various times on different days. Also, the radio stations do the same sputtering thing.

I'll try it without the wifi and see if that's the problem.

That was it - turns out it must have a wired connection. It's a shame - now I can't have my computer in another room unless I want to invest in a super long ethernet cable and string it through the house. Smiley Sad
