GPS NMEA App for iPad with Mifi 8800L?

Has anyone had success with any specific apps on an iPad to pull the NMEA GPS data from the Mifi 8800L HotSpot. The lag is incredibly slow on my iPad with WiFi only when using Google or Apple Maps. Wondering if anyone has been able to find an app that grabs the NMEA data so GPS can be used and is accurate when navigating.
