Replacement DVR - can I use it with old one for a short time

As said in the subject. I just received a 7232 to upgrade my 7216. I have a couple of recording on the 7216 I want to watch in the next couple days. I know these cannot be moved. But mostly, I want to test the 7232 and make sure it is operating as expected. Can I have them both on at the same time? I have the extra connections for both in & out and on the TV.

AFAIK you can use both for as long as you like BUT keep in mind that you will be billed the monthly rental for both until Verizon acknowledeges the return of the 7216.

Thanks, that's OK, I'd rather know that that the 7232 works as I have had NO issues with the 7216 in 2 years, other than slow response during FF/FR. Yjis way I can easily compare them.
