Are you using a wireless N router?
I have the 75/35 plan with a MI424WR Rev l (80211.n) router. On any PC or a MacBook Pro I see ~84 mb/s down and ~38 mb/s up, via Ethernet or wifi.
However, with an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, or iPad 2nd gen I only see ~40 mb/s down and 34 mb/s up. My take is that the iOS devices don't have the combo of hardware and software to process any faster speeds.
I am using the FIOS provided Actiontec router MI424WR rev f router. Speeds on wired computers exceed 50Mbs but on my Apple wireless devices.
I only see @25Mb/s download with 4S phone and @ 20Mb/s down with 1st gen Ipad.

the router is 54g wireless
Add your own wireless N wap to the network and your wireless speeds will go up
Why should I buy a new router when VZN advertises increased speeds on all devices in their ads on tv, etc. they should provide an improved router when you upgrade to Quantum or not promise a product that is not true. {please keep it relevant} Sure I can spend more money now and a few hours reconfiguring a bridged router but why bother when they don't tell you the truth.
