atleast 3 times a month my caller ID does not work and the remote does not work on the main box, but they work on 3 other boxes. I have to pull the plug to reboot the system
What model box is it?
Do you get an indication that box is accepting commands from remote (blinking light on box when you hit a button)?

yes the light does blink when I try to use the remote. Also When I am finish watching a recorded show and I try to go back to live TV the screen goes black and a the live program in the upper left hand corner
Try menu-customer support-top support tools.
There is an option for box slow or freezing up.
