Trying to change or cancel my current plan 3 days... forever on hold

I'm now on hold for the 3rd time trying to get through to someone to either cancel or change my service. (844)837-2262 waiting 1hr30min so far today. Making me call someone to do this, in 2018, is ridiculous!

How can you require someone call a phone number to cancel, then never answer it??

Yes it is. They answer the get service number in seconds. To cancel service or get assistance takes forever. 1-800-VERIZON is all I can tell you.
