Lip Synch issue with new sound bar and DVR

I recently purchased a new TV and Soundbar. The audio is synchro fine when watching live TV but when I watch a DVRed program, there is a significant audio delay. I changed the STB audio setting to stereo as well as the advanced HDMI audio output to L-PCM but neither fixed the problem. My sound bar is connected to my TV by an optical wire and the STB to the TV with an HDMI cord. I don’t have a receiver. Any ideas on how to fix this when it is just the DVRed programs that suffer from the lipsynch issue??

Also, the issue is only present when I use the Soundbar. If I turn the Soundbar off and use the audio from the TV, it syncs up perfectly.

Does it happen immediately or some time later?

If some time later, try pausing and then resuming show.

If that clears it up, then it is a known issue that we have not gotten a fix for yet.

When you say play on DVR do you mean only recorded or any channel you choose?

If any channel, check your TV menu.

Some have an option about external speaker delay.

If so, try adjusting that to see if it helps.
