Turn TV and box on. Great picture no audio. Turn box on and off maybe audio will come but not lately. Remove power from cable box and re boot. Audio returns. Need new DVR HD cable box.
How is box connected to tv?
If you have more than one box, have you tried swapping them around to see if problem follows? If connected via HDMI, have you tried another cable or another port on tv?
