We just had our Internet speed upgraded from 75/75 to 100/100 a couple of months ago. This required replacement of both the ONT and router (from Actiontec to the G1100), as well as a new ethernet line into the G1100 by a Verizon tech. Yesterday I saw a deal to upgrade to the next level, 150/150, for $10 more/month, which I ordered. Today I see on my account there is a technician visit scheduled for May 7 to perform the upgrade. Is this visit really necessary since I just had recent hardware upgrades? I presumed the upgrade would be done without the need for a truck roll.
