Loss of Internet/Phone During Power Outage

I have had FiOS internet, TV, phone for 6 years. I have had a whole house generator for 6 years due to more than a dozen power outages per year. Yes that's over 72 power outages!!!

During every one of the > 72 power outage, I have been able to maintain FiOS internet, TV, and phone access thanks to the generator.

Suddenly, during the last two power outages, I lost internet and phone (though TV still worked).

What might have changed? Any suggestions?

It's possible that whatever caused these particular power outages also affected the Central Office you connect back to.
