Setup fee $90 Scam!!!

I've signed up for the giga internet service June 2017.

Sales rep did not mention $90 setup fee at all... and the fee just shows up in my bill.

So I called Verizon and they're saying I should have read all the way to the email that has the title "Review your Fios order and view personalized video". Who reads those kind of emails about personalized videos? The biggest problem is that Verizon considers just reading this email "as a consent" to pay $90 without me taking any action.

How is this not a scam? FTC complaint filed.

You are kidding right.

you state "who reads these things"?

and then say it's Verizon Fios at fault.

You are at fault for not reading the conditions of the service, as customers we have to look at all documents pertaining to service.

you can file a complaint but in the case you describe Verizon can use your own post against you since you posted to a posted to a public forum.

personally I would just write a letter asking nicely to have it waived. However it may be to late now.
