HTC Eris Virtual Keys (Home, Menu, Back, Search) touch sensitive (Synaptic Feedback) stopped working

Virtual Keys (Home, Menu, Back, Search) on my HTC Eris droid have stopped providing the "synaptic" feedback. They still work, but I miss the "buzz touch" that lets a person know that the key has been touched.

Could I have turned these off by accident?

Yes it is possible that it could have been turned off by accident. To check to make sure if it is disabled, please follow the steps below:

-Go to your settings

-Select the sound and display option

-Then make sure that the options for audible touch tones and audible selection is checked.

(Note if you have it on silent mode, disable the silent mode then check the boxes, if they are not checked. When you place your phone on silent mode with vibration on, you will then feel the "buzz touch" whenever a selection is made on your phone.

I double-checked the sound and display options. Everything, audible touch tones & audible selection, are checked and are working correctly.

However, the four (4) virtual keys do not provide the synaptic feedback. They work fine but do not have that "buzz touch".

Strange?
