I just added Verizon and of all the companies I've ever been with, this probably has the worst customer service thus far. To begin with, the website is confusing and trying to get a live person to talk to is a real pain. Not only did Verizon miss two appointments to set up my internet, but now it's wasting so much time out of my day trying to just set it up so I can make monthly payments.
The HIDDEN FEES for the first month are SO DECEIVING TOO! Fee for you to come into the house and set up the account (which obviously didn't work- see below) is insulting for a new customer (no other companies do that- I've had them) and the contract says the first bill may reflect some partial charges, but for a service that is supposed to be about $60, a $260 first month bill is uncalled for.
I keep getting emails about how I owe money on my account, but when I log in to My Verizon, it shows I have a credit. I've called three different times, and all three times I either got a different 1-800 or 1-888 phone number to call. Can I just get a live person that can handle my situation? The department I've now been told to contact isn't open during the weekends, so I have to wait for the week. Really? And there's no "email" option on the contact page on My Verizon to contact you guys. YOU PROVIDE INTERNET SERVICE-is it really that bad that not even you have that option for your customers to contact you?
Very disappointing. Unfortunately Verizon is becoming too big to where they can't even address their customers' concerns. Too bad, because it started off as a customer-first company when all the other ones were getting too big....
